ARMIN STROM'S SKELETON PURE WATER RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS RED DOT INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD

ARMIN STROM was recognized for excellence in product design in the 2015 Red Dot Design Award international competition. The independent Swiss manufacturer's stainless steel Skeleton Pure Water earned the distinction in the watch category.

Appealing to sophisticated watch aficionados, the design of Skeleton Pure eliminates anything extraneous from the caliber in order to emphasize the mechanical artistry of the movement. In addition, elements of the movement are colorized to accentuate the layered construction. When the watch is wound, the owner sees an impressive animation of the interworking components.

The packaging, retail display and international advertising for the model will bear the esteemed "Red Dot" insignia for the next year. The watch will be exhibited for one year in the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany. In addition, it will be featured in Red Dot Online, in the Red Dot App, on Red Dot 21, and published in the Red Dot Design Yearbook.

Celebrating its 60th year, the international award recognizes excellent international product design in 31 categories. 2015 recipients were selected by a 38-member jury. The jury is composed of independent designers, professors and specialist journalists with the physical products judged in person. This year almost 5,000 products were submitted representing 56 countries. Winners will be officially announced during an award ceremony and gala on June 29 in Essen.

The Red Dot stands for top achievements in design all over the world. The sought-after seal of quality is awarded to companies that bring products to the market, which set global standards in terms of their attractive design, ease of use, and functionality.
